Our Kids ministry provides a safe and fun place where your young child will be introduced to Jesus in a way that they can understand. From the very beginning our volunteers begin to share these basic truths with your child through songs, stories, games and art each week they come to class: God Made Me, God Loves Me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

Sundays

9:30 & 11:00am

All parents must check in their child using the computer system at the check-in desk. Your child’s nametag will tell you which classroom they are assigned to. Please check with a staff member at the desk if you feel there is an error in the room assignment.

Our classes are open every Sunday 15 minutes prior to our 9:30 & 11:00am services and special events as announced. Children are assigned to a classroom based on their date of birth (and/or physical development for infants). The  assigned room number will appear on the child’s nametag.

If your child is not fully potty trained, please send a diaper bag that includes two or three diapers, a change of clothes and a bottle or sippy cup according to your child’s needs. Please make sure to label ALL items including bottles, cups & pacifiers.

In most cases it is best to say a quick goodbye to your child and then leave the room. Separation anxiety is very common in this age group but usually lessens with time and consistent attendance.  Our teachers will do their best to help your child transition but if they are unable to help them calm down after 5-10 minutes, we will notify you by texting your cell phone.

Join us for AWANA Wednesdays at 6:30-7:45pm at Reach Church De Soto as we have fun and memorize God’s word!

As children enter into the pivotal elementary years, AWANA ensures that kids are not only knowledgeable of God’s Word but are able to apply His truth to their lives and face anything as disciples of Christ.

Classroom Volunteers

Our Kids Ministry Volunteer team is made up of adults and youth that love young children and want to help kids learn these three basic truths: God Made Me, God Loves Me, Jesus Wants to be my Friend Forever. Each week we use songs, games, crafts, stories and sensory activities to share basic Biblical truths and stories. As a classroom volunteer you will receive an email each week you serve outlining what our lesson and activities will be for the upcoming Sunday so you can read it over before you come. When you arrive in your classroom, all the activities and supplies will be ready for you so you can jump in and have fun interacting with the kids. When you say YES to serving with the Kids Ministry team, you say yes to lots of hugs, high-fives, giggles and silly stories. Will you join us?

Prep & Set Up Team

There are many ways to serve that don’t actually involve kids! Lots of cutting, counting, sorting and prepping goes into getting each week’s Kids Ministry lesson ready. We have a team of adults that help with a variety of prep tasks behind the scenes each week. We would love to help you find a place to get involved.
